Problematic consumption and addictions

Our society is traversed by the problem of consumption. Consumerism as a social phenomenon expresses its most challenging aspect in problematic consumption and addictions to substances, objects and behaviors. We understand problematic consumption as the expression of a complex vulnerability that integrates people (as particular subjects), the substances or behaviors and the contexts that enable or restrict personal and community development.

The problematic consumption approach is complex and requires several actors. From ACOMPAÑADOS we understand that we must work together with the community to promote preventive environments at workspaces, educational institutions and other social organizations. Thus, through integration, provide and empower tools and skills to assist people who are going through a problematic consumption, promoting a healthy culture.
